Abstract

Publics schools were fundamental buildings on the period of the dictatorship Primo de Rivera. Donato Hernández Ruiz was the architect who made most educational buildings in the towns of the province of Badajoz. However, he is absolutely unknown, although he is a fundamental figure to understand the architectural development in the province of Badajoz.
In this study I would like to expose some fundamental works, wich are exponents of the characteristics of Hernández Ruíz, as well as to present one of the greatest architects of the province of Badajoz in the time of Primo of Rivera. This is a completely
novel investigation.
