Since the inauguration of its first Museum venue in Germany in 1991, the Würth Group, specialized in the manufacture of industrial materials, has established thirteen art centers across Europe. This study analyzes its museum network as an act of corporate patronage and a tool for building its corporate identity. Additionally, it presents a focused study of the Museum Würth La Rioja, located in the El Sequero Industrial Park in Agoncillo.
After contextualizing the role corporate museums play in shaping a company’s public image, the study examines the contemporary art collection, which includes over 20,000 works, and highlights its Spanish venue, inaugurated in 2007, featuring a sculpture garden, a modern exhibition space, and an innovative educational program.
